Extraction
The oil is extracted from the flowering tops, leaves and stems using s steam distilled process.
Chemical Composition
Citral, citronellol (responsible for lemony smell), citronellal, linalool, limonene, pinene.
Essential Oil Information
Also known by the common name of Melissa, Lemon Balm, the oil is extracted from plants just before first flowers appear as aroma is less intense. The extracted oil is pale yellow in color and has subtle, warm, lemony aroma. It’s rare oil with 7 ton of leaves & tops required for producing 1 kg (21/4 lb) of oil.
