Extraction
The oil is extracted from the leaf part through steam distillation method.

Primarily sugars, limonene, tannins, pinene, antioxidant flavonoids.
Essential Oil Information
The plant is small bushy shrub which is 3-35 feet in height and grows at altitude from 8800 to 15,400 feet in Himalayan region . The oil is extracted from the berries that are plucked, dried and ground before distillation. Traditionally, the oil has been used externally to provide relief from rheumatic pain.
